Autocratic Leadership Style and Organizational Commitment of Academic Staff of Uganda Christian University and Kyambogo University

The study established the extent to which autocratic leadership style influences organizational commitment of academic staff in Kyambogo University (KYU) and Uganda Christian (UCU) . It was guided by three specific objectives that were aimed at establishing; 1) level style, 2) employee 3) influence on two universities. utilized a descriptive cross-sectional survey design hinged Plato’s deductive reasoning philosophy. population involved mainly universities administrative staff. These sampled using simple purposive random sampling. Data collected self-administered questionnaire interview guide. first second analysed statistics means standard deviations. hypothesis Pearson’s Correlation Co-efficient index Simple Linear Regression. Findings revealed that, application moderate employees’ high. there positive significant relationship between current concludes styles had UCU Universities. To enhance employees/ Mukono, university council universities, faculty boards, deans, departmental heads should do emphasize more use style.
